Curtis L. Spears
Curtis Spears is the President & CEO of Andes Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Spears is responsible for overall firm strategy and day-to-day operations. Mr. Spears brings over 25 years of experience in the asset management arena. Prior to joining Andes, Mr. Spears held several senior leadership roles, including Senior Managing Director with Gray & Company, President of Gardner Rich, and Managing Director of Public Fund Sales with Fifth Third Asset Management. He also served as Vice President at The Northern Trust Company where he was responsible for client service and marketing investment products and services to the institutional marketplace. Before taking on client responsibilities, Mr. Spears managed domestic and international equity index portfolios for Northern Trust. Throughout his career, Mr. Spears’ level of excellence has enabled him to build strong relationships with top-tier financial firms and institutional investors.
A native of Chicago, he also sees it as his duty to give back to the community. He currently serves on the Governing Board for UCAN and has served on auxiliary boards for the Steppenwolf Theater, the Field Museum and the Primo Center for Women and Children where he has raised funds crucial to operations, and helped to increase awareness. Mr. Spears received his B.S. in computer science from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University. He holds the Series 24, 7, 63, 65 and 79 securities licenses.

Raymond S. McGaugh
Raymond McGaugh is a co-founder and Principal of Andes Capital Group. He heads the municipal finance department and assists with the firm’s overall strategy. Mr. McGaugh is a licensed corporate, municipal and real estate attorney with over twenty-five years of experience. He has extensive experience in the areas of banking, bank and stand-alone community development entities, construction lending, corporate finance, municipal finance, private equity, railcar finance, real estate and real estate finance. Mr. McGaugh has worked on both tax-exempt and taxable financings involving housing bonds, empowerment zone bonds, Native American bonds, mortgage revenue bonds, project finance, industrial development bonds and tax increment financings. Mr. McGaugh has also provided advice and counsel to issuers of letters of direct pay and standby credit, surety bonds, and other liquidity and credit enhancement facilities in connection with on both tax-exempt and taxable financings. In addition, he provides general business advice to corporations, municipalities and other business organizations and combinations.
Mr. McGaugh graduated cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 1984 where he was selected as a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society. He received a Masters Degree in Health Administration in 1978 from Georgia State University’s College of Business where he was an Equitable Life Fellow. Mr. McGaugh completed his undergraduate studies at Creighton University in 1976, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He holds the Series 7, 65, 63, 53, 24 and 27 securities licenses.

Charlie Harrison

Charlie Harrison is a Vice President of Andes Capital Group, and is responsible for sales and client relations. Prior to joining Andes Capital, Charlie worked at Cabrera Capital Markets, and served 8 years as the City of Pontiac Council President. Mr. Harrison was as a City of Pontiac General Employees’ Retirement System Trustee for over 15 years. He served 10 years as Chair and was very instrumental in the establishment of their successful Emerging Manager and Michigan Centric Manager Programs. A frequent speaker at national industry conferences, Mr. Harrison is also the Owner and CEO of Sunesis Financial Services, is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Southwestern Christian College, is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Mr. Harrison is a graduate of Oakland University. He holds the Series 7, 6 and 63 securities licenses.
